Cultivating Community Campaign
Cultivate Care Farms (CCF) is thrilled to announce the Cultivating Community campaign to secure its historic location, the John Sawyer property, and expand its mental health services. The campaign aims to raise $450,000 for the property's acquisition and renovation, ensuring a permanent home for CCF's Farm-Based Therapy programs. This initiative will preserve the property's historical significance while expanding clinical space by over 30% by 2027, reducing wait times, and enhancing service capacity.
A pledge of $150,000 from the CCF board will match donations received by August 31, 2024, amplifying the impact of contributions. CCF's Farm-Based Therapy offers transformative benefits through interaction with animals and nature, promoting mental wellness and community belonging. Currently, CCF serves 180 clients weekly from 56 towns in five counties, addressing various mental health challenges.
Executive Director Megan Moran emphasizes that securing the Sawyer property is crucial for expanding CCF's capacity to provide essential mental health services. Board Chair Dan Sierra highlights the campaign's potential to create a lasting impact on community well-being.
